First and foremost, I promise to be a true representative of the people of Biloxi. I will not turn a blind eye to your concerns—I will listen, amplify your voices, and fight for your rights and freedoms. My lifelong commitment to serving this community, from volunteer work to advocacy, speaks to my dedication to Biloxi’s families, natural resources, and prosperity. I am the sixth generation of my family to call Biloxi home, and I am raising the seventh. My roots run deep in this city, and my future is here. I will always serve our community with honor for our past and hope for our future—to ensure the well-being, prosperity, and success of our children and generations to come.
Our children are our future, yet families are struggling under our broken school system. I will fight for school choice and Education Savings Accounts (ESAs) so that education funding follows the child, not the system. Parents should not be forced to pay for public education and then be penalized for seeking better alternatives!
I pulled my own children from public school after seeing their self-worth become directly tied to standardized testing. For months, I’ve demanded school choice from state legislators, and I won’t stop until we’re heard!
School choice also benefits teachers, who are overworked and undervalued in the current system. They deserve better opportunities and the support needed to truly invest in our children’s future.
I promise to conduct a full audit of the Biloxi School District. Based on my family’s experience and conversations with countless families, it is clear that something is wrong in our so-called “A-rated school district.” I will find out what that is and ensure accountability and transparency.
The mayoral salary of $146,000 a year is, in my opinion, excessive for a public servant. When elected, I will use a portion of that salary to open a minimum of two microschools every 18 months in Biloxi. The educational nonprofit Libertarians for Learning has already agreed to match my efforts. This means four new microschools every 18 months—at no cost to taxpayers!
It is unacceptable that people in Wards 4, 5, and 6 have been ignored while their water is being poisoned! Many of the pipes in these areas are asbestos cement, long past their life expectancy and now failing—leading to repeated boil water advisories. These outdated, hazardous pipes will be replaced under my leadership. The health and safety of this community will be a top priority!
Biloxi’s natural beauty, especially our treasured oak trees, must be preserved whenever possible. Economic growth and environmental protection must be balanced. I will exhaust every possible alternative before allowing the destruction of our oaks—tree removal will always be the last resort!
I promise to work toward real solutions for the homeless crisis in Biloxi. I have already begun by reaching out to local organizations that are committed to addressing this issue. Land has already been purchased, and steps are being taken to develop permanent housing, not just short term shelters, but a path to homeownership. Our homeless veterans, the forgotten heroes of our nation, will be the first priority in this project.
We must change the way we view homelessness. For many, it is the result of economic hardship—something we have all felt in recent years due to rising costs. For others, homelessness is linked to mental illness, including addiction. Addiction is not a criminal issue; it is a mental health crisis. The first step toward real solutions is recognizing that these individuals are not statistics—they are people. They are sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, and parents. A shift in perspective is essential to making lasting change.
